Another unmissable event with fantasy is back: "Bread, Butter, and Puppets ," the multi-day festival of puppet theater and animation that wins the hearts of children and families every year. A true journey through street theater and the tradition of puppet theater, where good and bad, vices and virtues come to life to transport audiences, especially the youngest ones, on the wings of fantasy.

The fun continues on Thursday, August 13th in Piazza Matteotti with the show "Comedy Superheroes" by the Lagrù Teatro company. The peaceful life in Puppet City is upended by the arrival of Mister X, a mysterious supervillain who threatens to destroy the city. After all the classic superheroes are quickly defeated by his extraordinary abilities, the last hope for salvation lies with a bizarre team of masked puppets: Harlequin (the nearly invisible puppet), Sandrone (capable of putting his enemies to sleep), Rugantino (the whipping boy), and Mengone (the iron head).

The next events

The festival concludes on Tuesday, August 18th in the Abissinia neighborhood (via San Martino), with the performance "The Miraculous Water" by the I Burattini della Commedia company. In the hilarious story, Sandrone and Fagiolino are mistaken for eminent healers by Captain Cuerno de Cornazzon, sent by Zulim, King of Persia, to search for someone who can heal Prince Zemiro, the victim of a spell cast by the witch Morgana. Finding themselves acting as fake doctors at the Persian court, the two protagonists get up to all sorts of mischief. The prince's healing can only occur thanks to a miraculous water kept in a mysterious pot that once belonged to the witch.

All shows are free and begin at 21:30 PM . At the end of each evening, a snack will be offered to all children.
