Here are the finds of the Surgeon's House: some oil lamps, kitchen and tableware and an extraordinary collection of medical equipment such as mortars, scales, containers for the preparation and storage of medicines, a thermal vessel for curative applications and over 150 surgical instruments.
The Pinacoteca hosts the masterpieces of the “Rimini School“, the tables of artists of great importance such as Giovanni Bellini, Domenico Ghirlandaio, Agostino di Duccio, Pisanello and Matteo de' Pasti.

Surgeon's House
In 2007, the Surgeon's House was opened to the public, a small Pompeii re-emerged from the darkness of the centuries in the heart of Rimini's historic center.
Destroyed by a fire around the mid-3rd century, magnificent mosaics, wall structures, plasterwork, furnishings, and household items have emerged from the rubble, offering an extraordinary snapshot of life in ancient Rimini. It is precisely in this space that an exceptional surgical-pharmaceutical kit, the richest in the world that has reached us from antiquity.
