Theme parks

Fun for everybody in the theme parks of Riccione: the dolphins' leaps, the water slides and the wave pool in the most famous parks of Oltremare and Aquafan.

At Oltremare you can visit the biggest Dolphin Lagoon in Europe, the Po river delta habitat, the flight of birds of prey, the turtle hospital, the green trails, the animal farms, the meteorite impact…

110 thousand m2 make up the most exciting tribute to our Planet and our Sea, where entertainment is also an opportunity to learn, an experience with a high educational content.

Opened in 1987, Aquafan is the most famous water park in Europe, with a 100 thousand m2 surface and over 3 km of slides, shows, entertainments.

This park offers attractions for all ages: from sheer vertical drops to shallow water pools for the kids. And if you want to have a short break from bathing you can stroll among its shops, bars and restaurants.

Aquafan is music and entertainment at night too: during the summer the greatest DJs' live shows and foam parties attracts young people from all over the world.

More attractions in other amusement parks: miniature golf near the beach, chromotherapy pools, water games directly on the beach, the fun fair, everything that can liven up your holiday.

In the heart of the city, an adventure park surrounded by trees, for long walks among the branches, climbing and suspended paths, just a few steps from Viale Ceccarini. Adventure Park is the brand new ecological theme park that merges Adventure Park, Tree Village and the large Cicchetti Park (13 thousand square meters) always open for free to the public.

You can reach the park from Riccione by bus no 58 Start Romagna.

History...

The name (in local pronunciation Arcaton) comes from the Greek and Byzantine occupation dated back to the sixth century AD: "Archeion" is the name of a plant, the burr, which still grows spontaneously in some areas of the beach now occupied by the bathing establishments but which was once abundant on the desert shore of Riccione.
