The World Circuit

Few kilometres from Riccione, one of the most important international motor racing circuits, dedicated to the memory of Marco Simoncelli, the biker from the near town of Coriano, hosts and runs world sports events like MotoGP San Marino Riviera di Rimini and World Superbike.

At few kilometres from Riccione, in Misano Adriatico there is the horse riding centre "Tenuta il Fondo" where you can book excursions and guided rides or attend courses (courses for children, adults and disabled people).

The name (in local pronunciation Arcaton) comes from the Greek and Byzantine occupation dated back to the sixth century AD: "Archeion" is the name of a plant, the burr, which still grows spontaneously in some areas of the beach now occupied by the bathing establishments but which was once abundant on the desert shore of Riccione.
