Nuovo Cinema Adriatico

Photo exhibition

Who said that fish are all the same and so inexpressive? PARITANI created movie sets of  the most famous films where the actors are the fish of the Adriatic sea. The casting took place in a fish shop thanks to an accurate search among the most interesting subjects.

The stage set was laborious and required hours of preparation, from the construction of the scale models to the positioning of the “actors” on the scene and the lighting. Nobody could ever have imagined a coming back of the silent cinema, however the amazing performance of the actors with scales does not make us miss the sound effects at all.

Roberto Pari and Sergio Tani, alias PARITANI, were born in Rimini where they live and work, from the 80s, as commercial and creative photographers.

History...

The name (in local pronunciation Arcaton) comes from the Greek and Byzantine occupation dated back to the sixth century AD: "Archeion" is the name of a plant, the burr, which still grows spontaneously in some areas of the beach now occupied by the bathing establishments but which was once abundant on the desert shore of Riccione.
